True Friendship | The Evident

True Friendship

Once upon a time, a bird and an ant lived in a forest. One day, the ant fell into a river. The ant struggled and cried out, "Help me! Help me!"

The bird heard the ant’s cries. She plucked a leaf and dropped it into the river. The ant climbed onto the leaf and floated to safety.

Some days later, the bird was perched on the branch of a tree. Suddenly, a hunter saw the bird. He wanted to hunt it to make bird soup. He aimed at the bird’s chest, but the ant crawled out and bit the hunter’s leg. The hunter cried out in pain and missed his aim.

The bird heard the noise and flew away. The hunter went home sadly because he had missed his catch. Meanwhile, the ant and the bird remained happy and lived in true friendship.

Moral: A friend in need is a friend indeed.
