The Smell of Blood
One day, Ustad announced to everyone, "Tomorrow is our tour, so you must ask your mom for permission." I called my mom and asked her to pack my tour clothes, and she brought them to the college.
The next day, the tour began. We stepped onto the bus, and Ustad told us to change into our travel clothes. After changing, we danced to songs until midnight. When the music stopped, sleep came to me, and I drifted off.
The next morning, I woke up early. I looked out the window and realised we had arrived in Karnataka. We stopped to get rooms. At first, my friend and I were in a room that was not comfortable, so we left it. My friend found another room, but I didn't, so I went to my family friend’s room to take a bath.
After changing, I realised my pants were loose. I needed a belt, but I didn't have one. I went to another classmate's room to ask for one. Just then, someone closed the door in my hand. My fingers were crushed, and blood dripped onto the floor. I cried in pain. A student called Ustad to report the incident. Ustad brought a bandage and dressed my wound.
After that incident, we went to Chikmagalur. There were mountains there, and we ran to the top with Ustad. When we reached the peak, we danced in the rain, took many photos, and passed the time happily.
When it was time to go down, we started running. Suddenly, I fell on the mountain and injured my leg. In this incident, Ustad also gave me a bandage, which I applied to the injury. We went back to the bus and listened to songs until we fell asleep.
The next day, we reached a hotel. We gathered in a room and talked about the nice parts of the tour, but I spoke about my sad moments. Suddenly, a friend playfully pushed me onto the bed. My head hit the sharp edge of the bed frame, and blood started leaking again.
Ustad looked at me and said, "Why did you even come on this tour?"
I cried for a long time. Ustad gave me another bandage, which I applied to my head. Finally, the bus started, and we danced on the way back. After travelling through the night, we reached the college. My mother came to pick me up, and the tour ended.
